The competition programme of the 10th international festival of high school theatre Juventafest ended with the guest plays “Opposites” and “Our Class” by the acting groups from Ljubljana and Split.

In the afternoon, the audience at the Centre for Culture and Youth of Centar Sarajevo Municipality had the opportunity to watch the play “Opposites” by Miha Maver and members of the “Pozitiv” Theatre from Ljubljana. Through a dynamic and energetic performance based on dance movement, the young protagonists, each for themselves, expressed their opinions and principles and encouraged the audience to build their own attitudes about relationships in today’s society, individuality and acceptance of people who think differently.

The acting Studio of PLAYDRAMA Theatre told the story of a true event about classmates and their fates in a Polish town affected by the crisis of the Soviet and German occupation on the stage of the Sarajevo Youth Theatre in the play “Our class” directed by Justina Vojaković-Fingler. High school students presented this disturbing topic on stage in the best possible way.

The penultimate day, as well as the previous days of the festival, attracted a large audience and more seats were needed at both plays. The young actors received a prolonged applause.

The tenth Juventafest organized by the Association “Medija – Art” ends tomorrow, September 11.

Traditionally, on the last day in the Centre for Culture and Youth of Centar Sarajevo Municipality at 2:00 pm,  there will be presentations of four workshops that all participants attend during the festival.
